Host your next meeting at the Multicultural Resource Center! In
addition to the amazing resources available at the MRC, the space is
available for planning and meetings related to the MRC's mission or
intended to introduce groups to the MRC collection. Staff are
available to give a brief introduction to the MRC and tips on how to
use the catalog and website as resources. We will also conduct training
on Multicultural Education pedagogy, teaching with objects, or other
related topics supporting the use of the materials housed at the MRC to interested groups. The more staff we can get to see first hand the
vastness of resources available at the MRC, the greater the anticipated
usage will be. Below are some groups that have used the MRC in the past.
The space can accommodate up 40 people comfortably at tables and 100 if set up auditorium style. AV equipment is available and the space is equipped with a wireless network. There is no charge for EMID member districts to use this space.
Please note that the MRC is a functioning resource center and as such, please expect that staff may need to be accessing the space and working with other patrons while your meeting is going on. We will do our best to be respectful of your event. Please review the facility usage guidelines in the document below for a list of procedures and expectations when using the Center.
When you call to schedule your reservation, please be sure to take into account the set-up and clean-up time when you indicate the start and end time of your event. The space will be available to you only with in the parameter of the times you indicate. Please note that the space is not available until after 8 am. Contact Jenny Eisele, MRC Coordinator, at 651.487.7312 or jennifer.eisele@spps.org for further information regarding these opportunities. |
